The Novak family

The Novak clan is scattered all across the country, so when they came together for the holidays, I was honored to make their family photographs. We took over a hotel lobby and all the Novaks were gracious as I asked them to smile, and smile again...and again. At the end, I told Leah, the mother, that I would have loved to pose them in a pyramid - just to be funny. She said she'd have gone for it!

Happy New Years from our Staff

We celebrated along side our clients in a fun and festive way. Most of our staff are surprisingly pretty avid ballroom dancers, which helps capture events of this manner with extra panache. Pictured below is myself, Chase, Laura & Lorna. We hope you were able to celebrate with your friends and loved ones and we look forward to a new exciting calendar year at our studio.

Dance extravaganza

It's been an incredibly fun and sleepless couple days for the ArtInspired team. We're halfway through covering the Tidewater USA Dance chapter's 2007 New Year's Eve Extravaganza. Professional and amateur dancers from around the East Coast have converged on Norfolk for four days of waltzing, chacha-ing and rumba-ing. I'm feeling inspired to sign up for dance lessons.

ArtInspired style

I had fun shooting and editing this promotional documentary of Marilen photographing Catherine, a model who attends Virginia Tech. Not being a model myself (Marilen has years of experience), I enjoyed watching all the elements that go into creating a picture-perfect model. Props to Stacy for her awesome make-up artistry. Like the music? The song is called "Navy Sweater (Instrumental)" by the band A Girl Named Jaen.
